The exocraft summoning room option on my freighter is also not available, so maybe I have overlooked something or it is a bug in NMS.

Yes it is. There is only 1 AI core. And it also came with the new update. What you mean is proly the Hardframe. Thats just Modules that change the appearance of the Minotaur and add some stats. The exocraft controls being tied to the camera is the worst decision ever, I'll never understand why they can't be standard WSAD.
